New construction case study: Adler School

Through our work with ComEd's New Construction Service, the Energy Center consulted with the building design team for the Adler School of Professional Psychology facility expansion project in Chicago, IL.

Reducing the lighting power density of the new space resulted in both electric and natural gas savings, due to a reduction in peak cooling and heating needs for the building.

Lighting and daylighting efforts reduced estimated energy costs by $14,270 annually.
